Foundry Manual

Post  gillrmn on Thu Apr 04, 2013 2:18 am

Post by CM Sominator:-
Hey everybody!

I'm excited to share that community member gillrmn has put together an awesomely thorough Foundry Manual that details your first steps in creating your very own Foundry missions. It's so awesome, in fact, that we want to share it with the entire Neverwinter community, which means that we've now lifted the NDA on the Foundry toolset.

If you'd like to start reading up on the Foundry before getting into the game and creating missions left and right, head to gillrmn's Foundry Manual Part 0 and Part 1.

Three cheers for gillrmn!

My reaction:-

Gillrmn,

I know that you put serious effort into learning the toolset and that was evident in the Foundry material that you wrote. Thank you for sharing that knowledge with the NWO community. I am glad that your efforts were given the notice they deserve. Congratulations on your accomplishments both in the Foundry and creating the manual.

A cool thing happened:-

Hey Foundry Authors,

What a ride it's been! We're tremendously appreciative of all of your participation in the Foundry Authors Beta (and before then for Moonstars) and are champing at the bit to welcome the world in to play your great quests when the floodgates open for Headstart and Open Beta.

Thank you again for your hard work, enthusiasm, creativity, and testing of the Foundry toolset during the Alpha and Foundry Authors Beta. We're deeply appreciative of your dedication and excitement for what the Foundry represents in Neverwinter's community-driven ecosystem, and your enthusiasm mirrors our own.

We'd like to recognize your dedication and expertise with two very cool things:
We've flagged all Moonstar/Silverstar accounts that have had at least one quest published to the live server with 5-day headstart access. Please feel free to jump in when headstart begins, polish your quests, play each others' dungeons, and have fun in Neverwinter.
We've flagged all Moonstar/Silverstar accounts that have had at least one quest published to the live server with special access that skips the level 15 requirement for creating Foundry content. You clearly know what you're doing, and can keep creating sweet dungeons from the get-go.
Note: if you published a quest before 9PM PDT on 4/18, it will be available for Headstart.

Once again, from all of us at Cryptic/PWE, thank you for your participation in the Foundry Authors Beta. We're looking forward to playing what you create next, and we'll see you in Headstart!
