Does the team think?
That having reached lv20, Covemonster should remain a lv4 ftr,lv5 wizzie,lv11 monk? Or is this the time to drop the ftr lvls and go 8 wizz/12 monk? The wizzie is for the self healing and the ftr levels were there for feats early on. Or should he go pure monk now. I have little experience of post lv20 and most of my gaming has been solo, not through choice I hasten to add. I still have the +20 stone so have no probs with messing around with levels.
So I open the floor to those of you who can bother. Theres no rush and I will maybe wait a week or so for responses. Ty all in advance for getting this far:)

I have a WF Wizzy/Fighter. I don't like him because he has a glass jaw due to the wizard level I feel like. My goals early on where for self healing and self hasting of his greatsword. Maybe I should use his +20 heart to get rid of the wizzy levels now that you mention it.

What my useless and unhelpful comment was not good enough for you?

Needs more work, and was hoping for more involvement:)
Seriously, appreciated mate, just had hoped for a greater response overall.

Sadly, Willi, I can't help you with multi-class issues. I decided years ago, after two attempts at multi-classing (clogue and brogue builds), that the best way for me to play DDO was as pure classes.

Re: Does the team think?
Why Wizzy over Sorc?
And I feel like my glass-jaw WF Fighter/Wizzy is only at lvl 16 reached a point where the self healing just isn't good enough. Maybe if he was a fighter sorc instead I could get better repair results, but I'm thinking you should consider dropping the caster levels and go pure monk and get as much healing amp as possible.
Is it a Dark or Light Monk? If it is a dark monk, then maybe you might keep your caster levels but look into other options. Charisma is likely not a good score, but on a monk build neither is Intelligence so its a toss up where you bleed off the Monk's scores to get your casting stat up.

Thanks both, appreciate your thoughts. You could well be right about going pure, its been a good levelling build , but maybe the time is right for the 'monster to go monk all the way. Should be interesting.

Oh yeah! I will say my pure monk, Arndis, is awesome and quite enjoyable. I've watched Arcangela (aka Syn) on his monks as well. He continues to be an inspiration to me.willi wrote:Thanks both, appreciate your thoughts. Well, Obviously we have in Tyrs the DDO Monk of Legend in Syn. But I thought some of his monks were dual class.Swiftcleave wrote:Oh yeah! Re: Does the team think?
Just a quick one, want to stay wiz/monk? There have been builds that utilise pale master and monk to great success. Not sure if there is a build slinking around the forums. Llew in Blackmoors is currently playing his completionist as a Monk/Wiz and enjoying himself a little too much methinks

Re: Does the team think?
Only two characters are multiclassed Monks at the moment. One is Cassietetica, a Rogue with Ninja Spy skills, and Theacletica, an experimental Fighter Kensei that's barely out of the cradle. I'm not particularly proficient with multiclassing and gain the most enjoyment with pure builds. Nothing against multiclassing save the mix-maxing mindset that favors number-crunching over enjoyment and player guile (damn be the DC, full speed ahead!).Abub wrote:Well, Obviously we have in Tyrs the DDO Monk of Legend in Syn. The Deed is Done!
I looked in to using the pale master split and also the arch/monk split, but decided that after all he might as well join Willibold and Willibald
as a monk.......getting as bad as Arcangela, though I do wish I had gone for a naming convention from the word Go.
So Covemonster is a light monk with healers friend maxed, and whirlwind attack. +10 stunners on mitts atm, though am going to look out for some improved paralysers, when funds or lucky drop allows.
Thank you to all who contributed to my decision:)
