ESO Application (@Caine313)
Good afternoon, I respectfully submit my name for membership consideration. I posted in your ESO forum recruitment thread but just missed your open recruitment period and was pleased to receive a pm directing here. Here's my info:
1. What is your @handle and when is a good time to contact you?
@Caine313 (specific character I'm now playing is Cyrus Kaine). I am mostly ingame around 6pm (eastern) until 10pm on most weekdays and on and off varying times on the weekends.
2. What type of MMO experience do you have? If none, explain your interest in this MMO, please. (No experience required)
I started with Asheron's Call back around 1998 on the Darktide server. From there I've played almost every big name MMO that came along with the exception of the Everquest series. No particular reason why I never did pick up EQ, it just didn't work out. Here are some of the ones I enjoyed the most: Asheron's Call, Dark Age of Camelot, City of Heroes/Villains, Planetside, Neverwinter and an on again, off again relationship with WoW since beta. So far, I'm really enjoying ESO; with its open maps and free-form character design it is reminding me a lot of Asheron's Call...which is a really good thing.
3. Which Elder Scrolls game is your favorite? And why?
ESO is my first dive into the Elder Scrolls series. I just can't get into console gaming; seems like I need a mouse and keyboard to be comfortable. Both my kids have played all of them on the 360 and they are my in-house Elder Scrolls subject matter experts.
4. What do you expect from the guild?
A group of mature, easygoing and drama-free folks to enjoy and learn the game with. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and becoming a part of the community.
5. What can the guild expect from you?
A self-sufficient, friendly, team-orientated member. I enjoy helping others and accomplishing goals as a group.
6. After familiarizing yourself with the guild rules and regulations, have you found any rules with which you may have concerns? (Please note: some rules are game specific.)
No problems at all.
Here's some more info about me:
I'm a 45 year old happily married father of two (1 college, 1 high school). I've been after my wife to try a MMO since the late 90s and Mario Kart and Ms. Pacman are as close as I can get her to it. I do not have a military background; but I do have 20+ years of law enforcement, with 17+ of them in federal service. In regards to my gaming experiences, I do not have an extensive background in MMO roleplay, but I'm not anti-rp and can certainly fit it / participate to a novice degree. With that being said, I've always had a soft spot for "themed" guilds in my games (i.e. all a certain race, class, background, storyline, etc). I feel it brings the group together with a common background/goal. I also enjoy trying my hand at creative writing within the theme of whatever game I'm playing. I've subjected guildmates in other games to the torture...errr... reading of my writings; specifically in City of Heroes and Neverwinter. I'd like to try that again in ESO, but truthfully I will need to do a bit more research into the canon of the storyline so I don't screw it up.
Thanks for reading this and your consideration of my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
